Finally we get Barwon Water to operate in the big picture

Yesterday, ten years after the ABC 7:30 report lead with this story , we get Barwon Water confessing over its attempt to railroad the environment to fit its own purposes . And State government issuing a Section 7 notice on them .Kathy Bollen and Thomas Heyward.
I don't blame agencies for looking after their own interests, although its scary that that they now do more than ever . I blame the politicians for meddling and forcing business models on the agencies who use to ONCE UPON A TIME exercise competent oversight of complex big picture issues . Lets see these well heeled myopic agencies NOW fund proper research into local bio systems and write a few papers on recycling restorage before they go back to doing what they love and should stick to - steel and concrete .. Well done Malcolm and Andrew
Nothing is more pleasing when you spend your time advising people about the best way to use land , than when they take that advice ,
Nothing is more like a miracle when politicians actually follow that advice or when all that paperwork and machinery of government works to get that result.
Nothing is more truly miraculous ever than when you get confession and a restoration commitment . We started pushing for sound environmentl planning in the early 2000's This broadcast made in October 2008
