Identifying fungi

FUNGI might be very common and simple in structure, but their fruiting bodies can be pretty interesting as Frank found out at Beeac recently .This one not only forms and incrediblY STRONG lattice web but it stinks characteristically like rotting meat .
Don't ever study to become an grass agronomist(grasses and fungi) as all you ever see for the first few years is straight lines that tell you plain nothin .
When you find flowers , seed heads OR FRUITING BODIES (like this one ), you not only have something specific to the species, but YOU ALSO can also find out something about what it grew on( now near end of its life) and when what MAKES IT TICK.
